I've always wanted a work space and about a year and a half ago decided to start building one even though I did not own a house and felt like I did not have roots.  The therapy of creating with my hands pushed me to starting a mobile work bench I could take with me.

OakCliff bathrooms

In 2011, I decided to leave the clinic I had started in El Paso to head to Utah and work with my brothers on a house.  They had been remodiling the house for a while and wanted someone to focus on finishing 5 of the 8 bathrooms.

Oakcliff stairs

Ben, Erin and I talked about potentially buying a house together.  We wanted to be closer to the new offices and we wanted to make a reasonable financial decision.  We decided to do some projects for the Oakcliff house as a trial of working together and what projects on a home of our own might look like.  One of the projects was stairs down to a landing on the back hill.  Early in the renovation these were roughly dug into the hill and had erroded and grown over with weeds.
